SB: Former All-American Erika Piancastelli Becomes AU's All-Time Career Homerun Leader

ROSEMONT, Illinois—Former McNeese Softball All-American Erika Piancastelli became the Athletes Unlimited Pro Softball Championship Season career homerun leader on Sunday, August 25 on the final day of the 2024 season, belting her 18th career homerun.
 
Piancastelli, in her fifth season with Athletes Unlimited surpassed Sahvanna Jaquish and Amanda Chidester.
 
In her rookie season (2020), Piancastelli hit nine homeruns, three in 2021 and 2022, one in 2023 and two this season.
 
Heading into this season, Piancastelli ranked in the Top 10 in career at bats, hits, RBI, runs scored, and walks.  
 
In her five years with AU, Piancastelli has played in 75 games with 64 hits, 18 homeruns, 48 RBI with a .288 batting average and a .581 slugging percent.
