LAKE CHARLES – McNeese kicked off the first of two days of its McNeese Indoor & Multi Meet with the pentathlon and Cowgirl sophomore
Bridget Trahan made her return to the multi-event competition for the first time since 2023 with a second-place finish and a personal best 2,897 points.
The Sulphur native and product of Sulphur High School recorded a total of four personal records in the event, one with her total score and three others in the individual events.
She won the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 8.95. Her PRs came in the high jump where she finished second at 4-11, a second-place finish in the shot put at 31-1.50, and a fourth-place finish in the 800-meters at 8:53.52.
She also placed second in the long jump with a mark of 16-feet-6 inches.
Jinte Brass of Nicholls won the overall event with 3,090 points.
The rest of the McNeese track and field squad will be in action on Friday with a full slate of indoor events taking place at the Ralph O. Ward Recreation Complex beginning at noon.
