BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – McNeese cross country will run in its final meet of the regular season on Friday morning when it takes part in the Texas A&M Arturo Barrios Invitational at the Dale Watts Cross Country Course.
 
The men will run an 8k starting at 8:30 a.m. while the women will follow with a 6k at 9:15 a.m.
 
McNeese hosted the Cowboy Stampede back on September 27 in its last time out with both the Cowboys and Cowgirls placing second out of five teams.
 
McNeese will be one of eight teams from the Southland Conference and 38 teams overall entered in Friday's event including Abilene Christian, Arkansas State, Baylor, Houston, Incarnate Word, Lamar, LeTourneau, Louisiana-Lafayette, LSU, Mercer, Middle Tennessee, Nelson University, New Mexico State, New Orleans, Nicholls, North Dakota, North Texas, Ohio State, Oklahoma (W), Our Lady of the Lake, Rice, Sam Houston, SMU (W), Stephen F. Austin, Tarleton State, TCU, Texas A&M, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Texas State, Tulsa (W), UT-Arlington, UTEP, UTRGV, UTSA and Wake Forest (W).
 
The Cowboys and Cowgirls will run at the Southland Conference Championships on Friday, October 31, in Natchitoches.
