SB: McNeese Begins Week Long Road Trip At Ole Miss Wednesday

LAKE CHARLES— McNeese softball will play its next seven games on the road beginning with Wednesday's game at Ole Miss.  First pitch is set for 6 p.m. with the game being broadcast on SECN+.  The game will be the first game in the Rebels new stadium.
 
McNeese (10-4) will carry a six-game winning streak into Oxford, Mississippi and are coming off a 3-0 weekend at its own Cowgirl Classic with a win over Houston and two wins over Kansas City.
 
The Cowgirls will continue its road trip to Auburn, Alabama where they will take part in the Jane B. Moore Memorial Friday, Feb. 28 – Sunday, Mar. 2.
 
Ole Miss (12-3), who received votes in this week's NFCA/GoRout Top 25 Coaches Poll, will bring a seven-game winning streak into the game following a 4-0 showing at the Rocket City Softball Showcase last weekend in Huntsville, Ala.
 
Six Cowgirls are currently batting above .500 including Samantha Mundine who leads the team with a .488 average, 20 hits, and is second on the team with 11 RBI.
 
Kassidy Chance is second on the team with a .455 batting average along with 10 hits, eight RBI and eight runs scored.
 
In the circle, freshman Maddie Taylor leads the staff with five wins (5-1) and 23 strikeouts in 33.2 innings and is second on the team with a 3.33 ERA.
 
Kadence Williams has a staff low 2.33 ERA and is 1-2 on the season.  This week's Southland Conference "Pitcher of the Week" Ryann Schexnayder is 2-0 on the season with a 3.44 ERA in 20.1 innings.
 
Aliyah Binford leads the Rebels with a .388 batting average, 19 hits, six doubles and is second on the team with 14 RBI. Miali Guachino enters the game with a 6-3 record, a 1.01 ERA and 79 strikeouts in 48.2 innings.  Briana Lopez is 5-0 on the year with a 1.75 ERA, 28 strikeouts in 32.0 innings.
