FRISCO, Texas – McNeese women's tennis and Nicholls will face off at 2 p.m. on Tuesday in the opening round of the Southland Conference Tennis Championships as announced Saturday afternoon. 

The Cowgirls sit at 18-6, 5-4 SLC and was named the sixth seed in the bracket as the Colonels are 8-13, 1-8 SLC, taking the 11th seed. Nicholls is hosting the tournament being played in Thibodaux, La.
 
McNeese concluded the regular season on Monday, April 14 against Stephen F. Austin, but was awaiting the final seeding decided by the match between the Ladyjacks and Northwestern State today.

The winner of the match will advance to the quarterfinals where they will take on the aforementioned third-seeded Northwestern State.
