NEW ORLEANS –  McNeese beach volleyball and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi will meet in the second match of the Southland Conference Beach Volleyball Championships Wednesday morning at 9 a.m.
 
The Cowgirls own a 12-17 record and are 2-6 in SLC play to sit as the seventh seed with the Islanders owning the second seed at 19-12, 7-1 in the SLC. All matches will end upon the winning team clinching their third match.
 
McNeese is coming off the NOLA Classic where it earned a victory over Tarleton State 3-2 and fought in four other duals against top opponents, including No. 18 Florida Atlantic and Tulane.
 
A&M-Corpus Christi finished its regular season on the road at the Lone Star Invitational, falling to No. 6 Cal Poly before defeating No. 17 North Florida 4-1. They were ranked 20th in the most recent TruVolley rankings.
 
Jackie McGee and McKenzie Moore were recently named the first SLC Pair of the Week in McNeese history Monday afternoon after a 3-2 weekend. They defeated Tarleton State, San Jose State, and Tulane and sit at 16-8 on the season. The duo has won eight of their last 10 matches.

The Cowgirls and Islanders met during the Southland Midseason Tournament with the latter taking a 5-0 victory.
 
The winner of the dual advances to take on the winner of San Jose State and Southeastern at 2 p.m. The loser plays an hour sooner at 1 p.m. against the loser between New Orleans and Nicholls.
