LAKE CHARLES— McNeese softball, the reigning Southland Conference regular season champions will travel to Hammond this weekend to face Southeastern in an early conference matchup between the SLC's top two teams.  The series will begin with a 4 p.m. doubleheader on Friday, April 4, with a single game scheduled for 12 p.m. Saturday.  All three games will stream on ESPN+ and live stats will also be available.
 
Southeastern (31-8, 11-1 SLC), the reigning Southland Conference Tournament champions, will enter the series with a two-game lead over McNeese (23-16, 9-3 SLC.  The teams are 1-2 in both team batting average and ERA in conference stats. 
 
Southeastern has a team .359 batting average and a 2.30 team ERA.  McNeese has a .340 team batting average and a 2.38 team ERA in conference games. The Lions enter the series on a nine-game winning streak and will look to remain undefeated at home at 14-0.
