LAKE CHARLES—McNeese softball, the 2025 Southland Conference regular season champs and the tournament's No. 1 seed will host the reigning Southland Conference Tournament champs and No. 2 seed Southeastern in the Championship Series presented by Toyota this weekend at Joe Miller Field at Cowgirl Diamond. All games will stream on ESPN+.

The three-game series will get started at 6 p.m. Thursday with the second game scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday. An, if necessary, game is scheduled for 6 p.m. Saturday. The series winner will represent the Southland in the NCAA Tournament. The NCAA Tournament selection show will be at 6 p.m. (CT) on ESPN2.

McNeese (40-18), winners of the Lake Charles Bracket last weekend with wins over East Texas A&M and two wins over Incarnate Word, is making its league high 35
th SLC Tournament and will look to win its 10
th Southland Conference Tournament.

Southeastern (46-13), winners of the Hammond Bracket with wins over Houston Christian, Stephen F. Austin, and Nicholls last weekend to advance to the series championship.

The Cowgirls and Lady Lions are only two of seven Division I teams to win 40 or more games in each of the last four seasons (2022-25) with the Championship Series featuring the only two non-P4 teams. Oklahoma, Texas, Tennessee, UCAL, and Florida State are the other teams to win 40 or more games in the last four seasons.
