LEXINGTON, Ky.—McNeese Indoor and Beach Volleyball programs are one of over 1,400 teams to earn the 2024-25 AVCA (American Volleyball Coaches Association) Team Academic Award, the organization announced Monday. Teams must have maintained a year-long grade-point average of at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale to be recognized.
The Cowgirls indoor team has earned the honor for the 11
th time in program history with an overall 3.45 team GPA while the Beach squad has earned the honor in both years in its existence.
Additionally, Cowgirls Beach earned the distinction of AVCA Team Academic Honor Roll, one of 11 Division I programs to receive the honor and representing the Top 20% of grade point average among D1 teams. The Cowgirls finished the season with a 3.76 team GPA.
