Tan Announces Addition To Coaching Staff

Lake Charles – Head beach volleyball coach Yasmin Tan has announced the addition of Jackie McGee to her staff as a Graduate Assistant after spending the 2025 season as a student-athlete.

"I am thrilled to have Jackie join our staff as a Graduate Assistant Coach," said Tan. "She made a tremendous impact as a student-athlete within our program both on and off the court and is known for her exceptional work ethic, competitive energy, and love for the game. I have no doubt that these qualities will translate to her new graduate assistant role with firsthand knowledge of our team expectations and standards. Jackie's eagerness is a testament to the culture we have built in just two years at McNeese. I couldn't be prouder of our group and am excited for year three!"

The native of Pasadena, Texas compiled an 18-12 record, while having a notable win over Tulane's No.3 pair. McGee was also part of the first McNeese pair to earn Southland Conference Pair of the Week honors.

Prior to her season with the Sandy Pokes, Jackie played three seasons at Southeastern.

Last fall, McGee was awarded the AVCA (American Volleyball Coaches Association), Demonstrator Scholarship which allowed her to attend the convention during the Final Four that took place in Louisville, Kentucky. Attending this convention allowed McGee to network with coaches while attending educational coaching sessions. She was only one of 7 beach athletes to be selected to attend the convention.

McGee earned her undergraduate degree in Behavioral Sciences in May 2025. She will be pursuing a Master's of Science in Kinesiology with a concentration in Health and Wellness promotion.
