FRISCO, Texas—The Southland Conference released its softball schedule Wednesday, having the 2025 regular season champions playing five home series.
"We're excited about the release our 2026 Southland Conference schedule, which gives us five home series and four away series," said head coach
James Landreneau. "The league is as tough as ever, with outstanding players and coaches across the board, and we're looking forward to the challenge. Playing in front of our home crowd is always special, and we know our fans will be energized when we unveil our non-conference schedule as well."
The Cowgirls will host Lamar (March 6-7), Incarnate Word (March 27-28), Southeastern (Apr. 3-4), Houston Christian (Apr. 14-15), and Stephen F. Austin (Apr. 17-18) and will travel to Northwestern State, Nicholls, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, and East Texas A&M.
The conference tournament bracket play (four teams) is scheduled for April 30-May 3, hosted by the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds. The championship series set for May 7-9 at the site of the highest remaining seed following bracket play. The championship series will be a best 2 out of 3 game format.
The non-conference schedule will be released at a later date.
