LAKE CHARLES—McNeese softball will hold its annual Meet and Greet this Wednesday, Sept. 24 at Joe Miller Field at Cowgirl Diamond. Gates will open at 6 p.m. to tour the softball facility. A meal (Gumbo) will be provided by the Dugout Club at 6:30 p.m.
The event will begin at 7 p.m. with messages from head coach
James Landreneau and players. Fans will have an opportunity to meet the team, get autographs, win door prizes and get a sneak peek of the 2026 schedule.
The Cowgirls will also be collecting canned goods for those in need around the holidays. This is a SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee) project presented by the Southland Conference. This drive will serve as McNeese's main community service project. For every 5 cans donated, the Cowgirls will earn 30 minutes of community service.
In addition to the Meet and Greet, the Cowgirls will begin Fall workouts on Monday, Sept. 29. The Cowgirls will host Northeast Alabama Community College, Lamar, LSU-Eunice, UL-Lafayette, Southern and Pearl River Community College in fall scrimmages. Dates and game times can be found on
