CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS – McNeese baseball (20-17, 9-9) travels to Corpus Christi for a three-game series against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (16-20, 5-12) beginning Friday. First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m. and will be streamed live on ESPN+.
The Cowboys are coming off a midweek win over Grambling, marking their second victory over the Tigers in a seven-day span.
Connor Walker hit his fourth home run of the season to give McNeese the lead, followed by two bases-clearing doubles to secure the 7-3 win.
The Islanders enter the weekend following a 14-7 midweek loss at No. 4 Texas on Tuesday. Jarrett Flaggert went 4-for-5 against the Longhorns, finishing a triple shy of the cycle. Texas A&M-Corpus Christi also dropped its weekend series against Southeastern, losing two of three games.
