NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS – McNeese baseball (23-22, 11-13) travels to Stephen F. Austin (24-22, 12-12) for its final road conference series of the season. Due to anticipated weather in the area, the series has been adjusted to a doubleheader on Saturday beginning at 3 p.m., with the finale set for Sunday at 2 p.m. All three games will be streamed live on ESPN+.
The Cowboys are coming off a 4-2 midweek loss at Houston on Wednesday. McNeese recorded seven hits in the game and was led offensively by
Easton Dowell, who went 2-for-4 with a double and a single.
Isaiah Keller's two-run home run in the ninth accounted for the Cowboys' only runs.
The Lumberjacks are coming off a 5-2 midweek win over Houston on Tuesday. SFA recorded 11 hits in the game, with Cermodrick Bland's triple in the second inning marking its only extra-base hit. The Lumberjacks dropped last weekend's conference series at Northwestern State, losing two of three games and marking their second straight conference series loss.
