LAKE CHARLES—Friday's Southland Conference Softball Championship (Lake Charles Bracket) sponsored by Lake Charles Toyota has been postponed to Saturday due to inclement weather.  The tournament will resume at 11 a.m. Saturday, with the last game scheduled for a 5 p.m. start.

Sunday, which was previously scheduled for just the (if necessary game) will now have both the championship game and (if necessary game) starting at 11 a.m.

Saturday's games will begin with No. 6 Northwestern State taking on No. 7 Stephen F. Austin at 11 a.m. in an elimination game. No. 2 McNeese and No. 3 Nicholls will follow at 2 p.m. The winner of the NW State/SFA game will play the loser of the McNeese/Nicholls game in an elimination game.

McNeese opened tournament action with a 5-4 win over SFA on Thursday.

G4: 2 p.m.- No. 2 McNeese vs. No. 3 Nicholls
G5: 5 p.m.- Loser of Game 4 vs. Winner of Game 3 (Elimination Game)
 
SATURDAY, MAY 3
G6: 11 a.m.- Winner of Game 4 vs. Winner of Game 5
G6: 2 p.m.- Winner of Game 6 vs. Loser of Game 6 (If Necessary)
