AUSTIN – McNeese's 4x100 men's relay team of
Blake Comeaux,
Tyler Smith,
Jaylen Goodly and
Gared Brown posted its fastest time of the season while finishing second at the Texas Invitational with a time of 40.63.
That time ranks as the third-fastest in the Southland Conference this season.
In addition to the Cowboys' 4x100 time, four other athletes posted personal bests on the day.
Cowgirl sprinter
Aleyah Donald clocked PRs in both the 100 and 200-meter dashes. She ran an 11.94 in the 100-meters to finish second in her heat then ran a 24.81 to place first in her heat in the 200-meters.
Also in the 200 meters,
Mia Robinson placed second in her heat and 18
th overall with a time of 24.32.
Tijana Antic ran a new PR in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.15 and finishing second in her heat.
On the men's side,
Jalon Charles set a new personal record in the 400-meters with a fourth place finish time of 47.82. Charles also ran a leg on the 4x400 relay team that placed fifth with a time of 3:15.71.
Running the 1500-meters,
Brian Flanagan clocked a new PR with a time of 3:55.97 for a second place finish in his heat.
