HOUSTON – The McNeese Cowboy golf team will open up play in its second tournament of the spring slate when it competes at the 2019 All-American Intercollegiate beginning Sunday and running through Tuesday at the Golf Club of Houston.
The 54-hole tournament will get underway with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. on Sunday morning followed by 8 o'clock shot gun starts on Monday and Tuesday.
McNeese will join a 14-team field that includes tournament co-hosts Houston and Rice, Baylor, Charlotte, Lamar, ULL, Ole Miss, New Mexico State, North Texas, Sam Houston State, South Carolina, UT Arlington, and UTSA.
McNeese will start on hole No. 1 and will be paired with New Mexico State and Houston individual players.
Senior
Blake Elliott will lead the Cowboy five into the tournament after coming off a fourth-place finish at the Sea Best Invitational two weeks ago.
Elliott is currently ranked No. 47 in the nation and 24
th in the region according to GolfStat with an average round of 70.14 which includes his rounds from the fall. Through three rounds this spring, he's averaging 69.3.
Joining Elliott in the lineup will be

Reid Giardina (76.91).
