HUMBLE, Texas – Tuesday's final round of the All-American Intercollegiate was canceled due to thunderstorms in the area.
The Cowboys finished the shortened, two-round event in 10
th place with a score of 598 while senior
Blake Elliott tied for fourth on the individual leaderboard with a 3-under 141 following rounds of 69 and 72.
Elliott, ranked 47
th in the nation, led the pack on the par 5 holes by going 7-under and averaging 4.13 strokes per hole. He also tied for second with nine birdies and was one of five players to score an eagle.
Jack Hearn followed Elliott among the Cowboy finishers with a 151.
Sutton Farmer and
Reid Giardina posted a 153 and Nick Mattner a 157.
Sam Houston State won the team title with a two-round total of 573 and Ole Miss's Cecil Wegener won the individual title at 6-under with rounds of 70 and 68.
The Cowboys will next be in action Feb. 25-26 at the Louisiana Classics hosted by ULL and played at the Oakbourne Country Club.
