VB: Cowgirls Conclude Texas Road Swing At Incarnate Word Saturday

LAKE CHARLES– McNeese volleyball (9-8, 3-3 SLC) will conclude its Texas road trip and will look to get back into the win column following its 3-1 loss at league leading Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Thursday night when the Cowgirls travel to Incarnate Word (9-7, 3-3 SLC) Saturday, October 16. First serve is set 2 p.m.  
 
The Cowgirls and Cardinals enter the match tied for fourth place in the Southland Conference standings behind Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Houston Baptist, and Southeastern. 
 
UIW is coming off a five-set loss to second place Houston Baptist on Thursday. 
 
The Cowgirls enter the match ranked in the Top 3 in four statistical categories in conference games including hitting percent, assists, kills, blocks, and service aces. Of the four categories, McNeese ranks second in the league in hitting percent (.223) and blocks (2.36) per set. 
 
Individually, freshman Jaylin Gordon leads the SLC with a .506 hitting percent and ranks fifth with 1.05 blocks per set in league action.  
 
McNeese freshman Aryn Johnson who is coming off a career high 18 kills, continues to lead the Cowgirls with 178 kills on the season.  
 
Senior Regan Stiawalt leads the team with 22 service aces and is tied for second in the SLC with seven in conference matches. Stiawalt is also second on the with 131 kills and 108 digs. 
 
Setter Ceci Harness continues to lead the team with 353 assists and ranks seventh in the SLC with 7.00 per set.  
 
Lizzy Low leads the Cowgirls defense with 207 digs and ranks third in the league with 5.18 digs per set. Low was credited with 26 digs Thursday's night against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi 
 
Bria Plante enters the match with a team high 48 blocks on the year while Gordon is right behind with 46. 
 
UIW is second in the league in service aces with 1.27 per set. Macy Sumrall leads the SLC with 10 services in conference play and has 19 total service aces on the season. 
 
Bethany Clapp leads the Cardinals with 183 kills while Jaqueline Arrington has 71 blocks on the season.
