LAKE CHARLES – McNeese Track and Field will host the McNeese Cowboy Club 5k Gallop Fun Run and Walk and 1k Kids Round Up fundraiser this Saturday.   

The in-person Cowboy Gallop will get started at 8:05 a.m. at the Cowboy stadium and will end on the 50-yard line. The kids' 1k Round Up Fun Run will start at the cowboy in front of the field house. 

Post run awards and refreshments will be available at the Robert Noland Pavilion.    

A virtual 5k will also be available October 7-9 on a course of your choice. The deadline to submit your results will be October 9 by midnight.  

Online registration for the event will close on Thursday October 7, but race day registration will be available at 6:30am to 7:45am at the Robert Noland Alumni Pavilion.  Cost is $35 to register for the 5K and $25 to register for the 1K. 

Participants can pick up their race numbers and shirts on Friday October 8 at the House of Sole Running Store.
