LAFAYETTE – A personal best pole vault of 16-feet, 1.25-inches was six inches better than the next competitor as McNeese's Kameron Aime was one of three McNeese track and field athletes to win their respective events during Saturday's final day of the ULL Louisiana Classic.
 
Aime, a freshman from Maurepas, cleared his winning height on the first attempt before falling on three attempts at 16-4.75.
 
Grace McKenzie won the women's high jump with a clearing of 5-5.25 while Alanna Arvie finished first in the shot put with a toss of 47-6.50.
 
Overall, McNeese had six top-3 finishes on the day, including the three first place winners. In the men's 1500-meters, Elias Loriposa placed third with a time of 3:59.25. On the women's side, Arvie finished third in the hammer throw at 192-8 while Jemira Thomlinson posted a second place finish in the discus with a throw of 146-5.
 
The Cowgirls' A team in the 4x100 relay clocked a third place mark of 47.33. Making up the team were Malaiya Jedkins, Dreunna Washington, Victoria Pierson and Destiny Johnson.
