EL DORADO, Ark.—McNeese women's golf posted its best round and moved up one spot from Tuesday's round to finish in sixth place at the Southland Conference Championship here Wednesday with a 999-tournament total.
The Cowgirls shot a final round 322, which tied for the second-best team total on the day with Central Arkansas. Sam Houston posted a 316 in the final round. McNeese ended tournament play with a 999 (338-339-322) and ends tournament play in sixth place.
Sam Houston State claim the title with a 917, 19 shots ahead of second place Central Arkansas (936). Houston Baptist finished in third place with a 963 followed by Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (983), Incarnate Word (985), McNeese (999), Lamar (1013), and Stephen F. Austin (1094.
Amy Ng led the Cowgirls individually with 242 tournament total which ties her for 14
th place. Ng shot a two over par 74 for the low round of the day for Cowgirls.
Riley Isaac finished in 21
st place with a 252,
Carolina Rotzinger finished in 23
rd place (255), followed by
Maria Garcia and
Anika Hovda who both who tied for 25
th place with 258's.
