FRISCO, Texas—McNeese women's senior golfer
Carolina Rotzinger has been named Southland Conference Newcomer of the Year, the league announced Thursday in conjunction with the 2021 all-conference teams.
A native Puebla, Mexico, Rotzinger played in four tournament this spring and finished second on the team with a 78.92 scoring average. She posted a season low round of 74 at the Huntsville Toyota Bearkat Invitational and a low tournament score of 225 at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Invitational. She ended the 2021 season in a tie for 15
th place at the Southland Conference Tournament.
Rotzinger is the first Cowgirl to be named the SLC Newcomer of the Year.
