WGOLF: Rotzinger Named Southland Newcomer of the Year

FRISCO, Texas—McNeese women's senior golfer Carolina Rotzinger has been named Southland Conference Newcomer of the Year, the league announced Thursday in conjunction with the 2021 all-conference teams.
 
A native Puebla, Mexico, Rotzinger played in four tournament this spring and finished second on the team with a 78.92 scoring average. She posted a season low round of 74 at the Huntsville Toyota Bearkat Invitational and a low tournament score of 225 at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Invitational. She ended the 2021 season in a tie for 15th place at the Southland Conference Tournament.
 
Rotzinger is the first Cowgirl to be named the SLC Newcomer of the Year.
