McNeese vs. Lamar

LAKE CHARLES, LOUISIANA – Coming off a 2-1 record to start the season last weekend, McNeese volleyball will host Lamar at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday night in its home opener at the Ralph O Ward Rec Compex. Admission is free, and fans are asked to bring their own chair as the rec complex has limited seating.  

The Cowgirls are coming off wins over North Texas and Grambling last weekend at the North Texas Invitational. The Cowgirls lone loss was in its final match of the tournament against South Dakota State. 

Freshman Aryn Johnson led McNeese in kills over the weekend with 29 followed by 26 from Regan Stiawalt. Stiawalt and freshman libero Bailey Tillman ended the weekend with 26 digs apiece while Macee Krpec, Kendall Glueck and Bria Plante all ended the weekend with six blocks apiece. Baylee Laskoskie and Ceci Harness split time setting with Laskoskie dishing out 47 assists and Harness with 42.  

Lamar (1-2) picked up a season opening 3-0 win over Prairie View at the Katrinka Crawford Invitational hosted by Lamar over the weekend. The Cardinals dropped matches to Oral Roberts and UL-Monroe to conclude the opening weekend.  

Following Tuesday's match, McNeese will travel to Houston to take part in the Flo Hyman Collegiate Cup where they will face Mississippi State, UL-Monroe and Houston.
