LAKE CHARLES - McNeese baseball head coach Justin Hill has announced Jared Morris as the program's Director of Operations and Analytics on Thursday.

Morris joins the Cowboys' staff after spending the previous season as the team's Sports Information Director.

"We are so fortunate to have Jared continue to be a part of our baseball program. He did a great job last year with sports media, but I'm really excited to have him transition into this new role as Director of Operations and Analytics," commented Hill. "We are only a few weeks in, and he has made a tremendous impact already. I'm glad he's on our team."

In his new role, Morris' primary responsibilities will include assisting the coaching staff in the day-to-day operations of the program, scheduling, travel coordination, etc. He will manage the role of analytics with the utilization of TrackMan; amongst other general program operations.

"I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be a part of such a great program at McNeese," said Morris. "Coach Hill, Zaleski, and Ricklefsen have done a phenomenal job creating an excellent culture here that is conducive to maximizing the capabilities of our student-athletes on and off the field and I'm excited to contribute!"

The Long Island, NY, native graduated from Indiana University - Bloomington in 2021 with a bachelor's degree in sports marketing and management and is currently pursuing an MBA in business disciplines.
