BATON ROUGE – McNeese track and field posted several personal records in its final indoor competition before the Southland Conference Championships when it competed at the LSU Twilight on Friday.
 
One first place was had when Mariah Lee won the women's weight throw with a mark of 55-3 ¾ and teammate Chloe Hernandez finished second at 52-11 ½.
 
Morgan Talley posted a couple of season-bests with a second place finish in the long jump (18-10) and also in the triple jump (39-10 ½). Grace Sullivan marked two personal records with a third place finish in the 800-meters at 2:25.01 and placed fifth in the mile run at 5:11.22.
 
For the Cowboys, Marcus Francis and Tyler Challis each recorded PRs in the weight throw, Francis with a 57-0 ¾ to finish fifth and Challis at 56-10 ¼ for a sixth place mark.
