FRISCO, Texas—Sophomore outfield
Erin Ardoin has been named this week's Southland Conference Softball Hitter of the Week", the league announced Monday afternoon. The honor is the first of her career.
Ardoin, the native of Moss Bluff, led the Cowgirls at the plate in four games last week including a Southland Conference series sweep over Nicholls. Ardoin produced a .500 batting average, going 5 for 10 at the plate including two hits against Houston and two hits in the second game of the Nicholls series. She belted her first career home run, a two RBI homer in the second inning in the opening game of the Nicholls series that gave the Cowgirls a 4-0 lead. Ardoin ended her week with a .583 on base percent, an .800 slugging percent, three RBI and two stolen bases.
