Whitney Tate has been recognized as one of D1Softball's Top 100 Best Players of 2023 coming in at No. 95, the organization announced today.
The native of Columbia, La. adds this accolade to her long list of honors received this season following being named the Southland's Softball Student-Athlete of the Year last week.
Tate led McNeese in ERA (1.26), innings pitched (166.1), and shutouts (9). She was second on the team in wins (18) and strikeouts (81) while tossing three-one hitters.
The rankings are based on offensive stats, defensive impact, value to the team, advanced metrics and a splash of postseason success.
