100 Hundreds campaign live for 2023 season

| By:
LAKE CHARLES - The annual McNeese Women's Soccer 100 Hundreds 2023 campaign for the online fundraiser went live July 19. Head coach Drew Fitzgerald and his team ask that 100 donors give 100 dollars to help raise money for the program to assist them through the season.

All donations go directly to the program and help with travel, nutrition, facility upgrades, equipment/apparel, and player experience.

"The 100 hundreds campaign has been hugely successful for our program in the past, which has allowed us to advance the program on several fronts," noted Fitzgerald. "We've improved the quality of the gear we provide, upgraded our locker room and field, and enhanced the nutrition we are able to provide the players."

During the campaign that runs from July 19-August 15, the Cowgirls will post videos daily to the McNeese Soccer social media pages (@mcneesesoccer) to show how the donations will enhance their season.

Throughout the 2022 fundraiser, the Cowgirls were able to surpass their goal with over $15,000 dollars raised. The team aims for the $10,000 benchmark once again.

"This fundraiser is all about improving the soccer student-athlete experience and makes a real impact on the service we are able to provide them. Our donors have been instrumental in our success, and we are grateful for their continued support," continued Fitzgerald.

As a unit, the team posted a 5-9-4 record last season with wins against Sam Houston State, Nicholls (2), UIW, and Southern.
