LAKE CHARLES, La. – A recent graduate of the McNeese soccer program, goalkeeper Briana O'Dell inked a professional contract with KFF Vllaznia to further her playing career.

"Bri is one of the most focused players I have ever had the opportunity to be around," praised head coach Drew Fitzgerald. "She sets goals for herself and puts in the time and energy to achieve them. She's a wonderful example of what you can accomplish when you have talent and are relentless in your focus on maximizing your potential. I'm incredibly proud of her and believe it is just the beginning for her."

Assistant coach Juan Yepes who worked primarily with the goalkeepers praised, "More than a pleasure, it has been an honor to have had Brianna under my coaching. Her work ethic, the respect she consistently demonstrated, her tenacity, the eagerness to improve, and all her goalkeeper skills are qualities that I have rarely seen in my career as a goalkeeper coach."

O'Dell competed for the Cowgirls in 2022 and 2023, earning 11 starts over 15 matches competed in.  In the net, she fought to a .750 save percentage, allowing only 2.06 goals on average.

She made four of her starts and eight appearances during the 2023 campaign which saw the Pokes head to the Southland Tournament Championship against Lamar. She improved her year-over-year GAA to 1.60 in the latter season.

Prior to donning the blue and gold, O'Dell competed for Fresno State over the course of three seasons.

In her press conference following the signing, O'Dell remarked, "I heard that it was a very good program with a very good history. Knowing me, I've always wanted to play at the top level so I thought this would be the perfect team for me."

"She has a wonderful opportunity to help KFF Vllaznia compete in the Champions League and will be a great addition to their strong program," furthered Fitzgerald.
