FRISCO, Texas – McNeese goalkeeper Celeste Marijnissen has been named the Southland Conference Goalkeeper of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday morning. Marijnissen becomes the second Cowgirl this season to earn a weekly conference honor.

The sophomore goalie was a key factor in McNeese's back-to-back wins last week, playing every minute across both matches. She earned her first collegiate shutout in a 1-0 victory over UTRGV and followed it up with another strong outing in a 2-1 win against Lamar.

Marijnissen faced 28 shots and recorded 13 saves across the two matches, conceding just one goal. Her steady presence and clutch performances in goal helped secure six critical points for the Cowgirls.
