LONGWOOD, Fla.—The first two rounds of the Stetson Hatter Classic Monday was halted due to heavy rain that eventually flooded the Alaqua Country Club, making it unplayable. All but two groups failed to finish their first round. These two groups will complete the first round early Tuesday morning before the course is reset for the second round which is scheduled for a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
McNeese completed its first round and sits in sixth place with a 302. The Cowgirls are one shot out of third place Lynn and Navy and only six shots behind leaders Stetson and Barry University who posted 296's.
Maria Garcia is in second place after a par 72. Garcia recorded three birdies on the day- all coming at par 5 holes. She picked up her birdies on no. 5, no. 13, and no. 16.
Bethany Reid is tied for eighth following her two over par 74. Reid had five birdies in her opening round including three consecutive birdies on holes 4-6 to end her round. She also birdied no. 9 and no. 14.

th place following her first round of 80 and
Roxane Nataf is tied for 43
rd place with a first round of 84.
Symone Henriques of Daytona State College currently sits in first place in the individual standings following her two under par 70 in the opening round.
