FINAL RESULTS

NEW ORLEANS—McNeese women's golf wasn't able to gain ground from Monday's round as the Cowgirls finished in 10^th place of the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate here Tuesday with a 928 team total. Nebraska took the team title with an 884 over second place Texas State who finished with an 891.
 
Carolina Rotzinger, in her first tournament as a Cowgirl finished in the Top 10, placing 9^th with a 225 after a final round of 75. Riley Isaac shot the low round of the day for McNeese with a one over par 73 to tie for 23^rd place. Isaac finished with a tournament total of 229. Anika Hovda tied for 48^th place (236), Maria Garcia tied for 55^th place (238), and Any Ng tied for 74^th place (249). Roxane Nataf tied for 78^th place (254) playing as an individual.
 
Nebraska's Kate Smith was the individual medalist, shooting a 2 under par 70 in the final round to end the tournament with a 215, one shot better than Tulane's Carlota Palacios. Palacios shot a tournament record low round of 64. The old record was held by Oregon's Cassy Insagawa who shot a 65 in the second round of the tournament in 2012.
 
McNeese's next tournament is scheduled for March 29-30 when they will travel to Hunstville, Texas to take part in the Sam Houston Bearkat Women's Invitational.
