HOUSTON – Twenty-two top-five finishes and six first place finishes highlighted McNeese's stellar performance at the FasTrack Invitational Saturday at the University of Houston.
 
Cowboys distance runner Joey Croft won the 1-Mile run with a time of 4:14.81 and six of the next nine finishers to round out the top 10 were all Cowboys.
 
Also for the men, the DMR (distance medley relay) team finished first in their competition with a time of 10:45.44.
 
On the women's side, four Cowgirls made up places second through fifth in the triple jump including, Malaiya Jedkins (12.25m), Shaelyn Hines (11.83m), Morgan Talley (11.68m), and Heaven Terrell (11.60m).
 
Alanna Arvie placed first in the weight throw for the second consecutive meet with a mark of 20.09m and also placed fourth in the shot put.
 
The Cowboys and Cowgirls will be back in action next Friday when they host their first home meet in the McNeese Indoor Invite.
