A rebounding phenom is the best way to describe his four year play for the Cowboys. He played on two, 20 win teams that also won two Southland Conference titles. Rudd was a three-time SLC rebound leader and he finished his career as the second leading all-time rebounder in McNeese history with 1,181 and an 11.6 average. He set a school record with a 13.7 average in 1975-76 and had a career single game high of 26 against Rice in the 1975-76 season. He was also twice named McNeese’s most valuable player. He was drafted by and played for the New York Knicks in the NBA and is now in private business, living in Moss Bluff.
