One of the top collegiate golfers in the South during the 1960s, he won a Gulf States Conference title in 1966 and three times was named McNeese’s most valuable player and led the Cowboys in scoring. At one time he held both conference and school low scoring records. He also com­peted in NCAA tournaments for the Cowboys. After gradu­ation he became a golf professional, holding positions in Louisiana, Illinois and Florida and he won numerous club pro championships. Later in his career he performed on the PGA’s senior professional circuit.
