One of the most decorated athletes in McNeese State track and field history, she was twice named the school's athlete of the year and on seven occasions was named the Southland Conference athlete of the year (three cross coun­try, two indoor track, two outdoor track). She still holds Cowgirl records for the 3000 meters, 5000 meters and 10,000 meters outdoors and 1600 meters and 5000 meters indoors. Sita was twice named the McNeese MVP and won a total of nine conference titles and was the league scoring champion three times. Following completion of her career, she went into coaching and has been head coach at Lamar University and at George Mason University.
