He was a starting defensive end for the Cowboys in 1960 and 1961 and was named to a little All-American team by the United Press International. Sestak was a leader on teams that won 14 games in two seasons and also won a Gulf States Conference championship. After college he went on to greater fame as a professional player in the American Football League, earning numerous all-pro hon­ors and starring for the Buffalo Bills as a defensive line­man. Not long ago he was selected as one of the players on an all-time Buffalo Bill team.
