She is perhaps the most outstanding softball player to ever play for the Cowgirls. Three times she earned the team’s MVP award, led her squad to the Louisiana collegiate title in 1981, three times was named all-Louisiana and at one time held 10 school records. A native of Lake Charles, she posted a .301 career batting average and also scored 113 runs, had 143 base hits, 16 doubles, 12 home runs, 75 RBIs and 55 stolen bases. She also coached the Cowgirls to a 42-38 record in two seasons. After leaving McNeese, she went into the health club industry in Houston and has also been an elementary school teacher.
