One of the top defensive linemen in Cowboy history, he played from 1975 to 1978, competing in the very first Independence Bowl which the Cowboys won over Tulsa. McNeese competed in division I during that time and won a total of 29 games, posting a 10-2-0 record in the bowl year. Twice he earned all-Southland Conference first team honors, in 1976 and 1977 and he was named McNeese's outstanding defensive player in both 1976 and 1977. He totaled 178 tackles during his career, twice leading all defensive linemen in stops (59 in 1976 and 64 in 1977). Following graduation he went into private business and now resides in Lafayette.
