He was a starter from the time he stepped foot on campus and was named the team MVP in 1974 when the Cowboys went 20-5. Twice he led the team in field goal shooting percentage and he became one of the school’s outstanding rebounders although standing only 6-2. He still ranks 13th on the all-time career list for rebounders with 622 in 91 games for a 6.8 average. He had a career scoring average of 10.9 with 993 points, his top average of 16.2 ppg com­ing in 1973-74 when he aso averaged 10.7 rebounds per game. He is retired after a career as court administrator for the Calcasieu Parish juvenile probation department.
