He was a three year letterman and played on McNeese’s first two Gulf States Conference championship teams. One of Ellis Guillory’s top players, he led the Cowboys in the GSC tournament in 1957 with a fourth place finish and in 1958 was runnerup in the tournament. After graduating from McNeese he went to dental school at Loyola in New Orleans and then served in the U.S. Navy. He practiced as a dentist until 1994 when he retired. He remains one of the top amateur golfers in Southwest Louisiana.
