Hall of Fame
An all-conference performer, he was a top running back for the Cowboys from 1976 to 1979, leading the team in rushing three of those seasons. He now ranks as the 10th leading all-time McNeese rusher with 2,143 yards on 483 carries, an average of 4.5 yards per rush. He played in two Independence Bowl games and was the team’s MVP in 1979 when he rushed for 938 yards and eight tds as the Cowboys went undefeated in the regular season. He led the Cowboys with 85 yards against Syracuse in the 1979 Independence Bowl, was twice named McNeese’s offensive player of the year and was named to the all-Louisiana and all-SLC teams. He played one year of pro ball with San Diego and lives in Silsbee, TX.
