She was a two sport standout in basketball and softball and a four year letter winner in both. She also spent six years as the assistant women’s basketball coach and three years as tennis coach. In basketball she was a point guard and at one time held the school record for career assists with 260. Twice she led the team in free throw shooting accuracy and concluded her career with 797 points and a 2.0 assist aver­age. In softball she was the team MVP in 1979 with a .439 batting average and seven home runs. She was also a three time all-Louisiana pick. After her coaching career at McNeese, she took over a head job in Texas where she has developed one of the top girls programs in the state.
