He was almost unbeatable during a four year career at McNeese State and was the centerpiece of a Cowboy squad that became one of the best ever in Louisiana collegiate circles. He won four straight No. 1 singles and No. 1 dou­bles conference titles and led the Cowboys to four straight league championships. He played in the 1950s when McNeese State dominated the sport in the Gulf States Conference and was one of the top collegiate teams in the South. After college he returned to his native Mexico and entered the business field.
